One of the things we liked best about Earth4Energy is that it also comes with video instructions, which most other systems did not have. These videos really allow you to follow along step-by-step and eliminate a lot of confusion. Best value for the money, by far.

Home Made Energy The cheapest of our top 3 renewable energy systems, Home made Energy also has step-by-step guides for building your own solar and wind power generators. Althought not quite as detailed as Earth4Energy, this is a great affordable solution if you are on a budget.

Efficient Planet Efficient Planet has very detailed guides for building solar power and wind power systems, possible even more detailed than Earth4Energy. However, the lack of video instructions means that we simply can't rank this one as highly. You still won't be disappointed if you choose to go with Efficient Planet.
